Installation Types

Select the installation option that best fits your needs.

  • Buckle and Strap Screens

This type of installation is the safest because there is greater separation between the hurricane screens and the window.

The screen will be attached with stainless steel anchors, sidewalk bolts and eyebolts.

The straps will be introduced through the eyebolts screwed to stainless steel concrete anchors and tightened to the straps as indicated in the owner’s manual and instruction guide.

You will have to be sure to tighten and lock the buckle to have your hurricane protection system properly installed and secure.

Please make sure that in order to have a properly operating system, whenever you screw or unscrew the stainless steel screws or eyebolts to set or uninstall your hurricane screens, apply some lubricant spray to remove any excess humidity to avoid corrosion.

  • Flush Mount or Direct Mount (Grommet Screens)

This type of installation is less expensive due to the type of anchors used to install but it is equally resistant.

The screen is manufactured with stainless steel grommets placed over three layers of the fabric that has an additional polypropylene webbing reinforcement inside, to provide a very high resistance to wind loads or high pressures.

The hurricane screen will be installed placing stainless steel screws through the grommet and screwed into a stainless steel concrete anchor.

Please make sure that in order to have a properly operating system, whenever you screw or unscrew the stainless steel screws or eyebolts to set or uninstall your hurricane screens, apply some lubricant spray to remove any excess humidity to avoid corrosion.

About the materials we use

Our flexible fabric membrane installed correctly on every window or door deflects and reduces the main force of wind and water, allowing only about 3% of wind and water from penetrating the fabric. That is, with winds of 150 miles per hour, inside the property would feel a little breeze just 7 miles per hour. This little breeze would be enough to even mess up your belongings at home.

When correctly installed in every window and door, our flexible hurricane screen deflects and reduces the main wind and water forces, allowing only about 3% of these elements to penetrate the hurricane screen. In other words, 150 mph hurricane-force winds on one side of the screen will feel like a 4½ mph breeze on the other side. This light breeze isn't enough to even mess up the inside of your house!
