Information about Globalia, Hurricane Protection Systems
Globalia is a 100% Mexican-owned organization founded by Cancun businessmen who saw the need to protect their loved ones and their properties with a very safe, resistant and durable Hurricane Protection System that offered the additional advantages of being translucent, esthetically pleasing and very reasonably priced.
Globalia Hurricane Screens are made of an 11.5 millimeters thick, cutting edge, highly resistant polypropylene weave that is 97% solid and 3% porous. This allows visibility to the exterior and the entrance of light while it stops entry of hurricane-force winds, rain and flying debris much better than conventional hurricane shutters.
Contrary to others, our Globalia System (Hendee Force 12) is certified by Miami-Dade County (Florida Building Code #FL1892-R1). Globalia Hurricane Screens / HENDEE have been successfully tested to 195 psf (276 mph / 440km/hr) and impacted with 5 times the force required by the strictest specifications of the Miami-Dade Department of Products Control. Thus, we offer you and your family the protection you need to go through one of these natural phenomena safely and with peace of mind. We offer this same system with an option of even thicker fabric (13 or 15 millimeters) if you wish additional protection. Without exception, ALL hurricane screen industry tests and certifications are based on the 11.5 millimeter thick fabric.
We install our Globalia Hurricane Screens in Cancun, the Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen, Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, Acapulco, Zihuatanejo, Oaxaca, Veracruz, Tabasco and other beach destinations in Mexico
Our vision is to offer the essential elements of a hurricane protection project, from project design to final installation under the strictest standards of quality control.
